Mumbai, March 8- 9, 2025 – The Shri Guru Paduka Darshan Ceremony, organised by Sakal Media Group, concluded successfully at the NSCI Dome in Worli, Mumbai. The two-day event drew over 30,000 attendees, offering devotees the opportunity to witness the symbolic presence of 21 revered saints and gurus through their padukas (holy footprints).
The event also marked the formal launch of the Bhakti-Shakti Platform, an initiative aimed at integrating spiritual values with developmental goals. The ceremony was inaugurated by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who also participated in the Paduka Darshan along with key public and spiritual leaders.
A Structured Platform for Faith and Development
In his address, Chief Minister Fadnavis stated, “Through the darshan of the 21 Guru padukas, we receive positive energy and inspiration. These saints have provided enduring direction to society through their thoughts and actions. The Bhakti-Shakti Platform seeks to reinforce these values to strengthen social harmony and national development.”
Abhijit Pawar, Managing Director of Sakal Media Group and Chairman of AP Globale, elaborated on the vision behind the platform. He announced the placement of Wish Boxes (IcchaPetis) and Service/Donation Boxes (DaanPetis) in temples across Maharashtra. These will collect inputs from devotees, which will then be analysed and submitted to relevant institutions and authorities to inform policy and social initiatives.
He added, “The integration of Bhakti (devotion) and Shakti (power) has the potential to become a transformative force. Governance, saints, and citizens working together can build a more inclusive and sustainable society.” Pawar also called upon women, representing both Bhakti and Shakti, to lead community transformation efforts under the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (“The World is One Family”).

The event saw participation from several dignitaries, including:
- Dr. Purushottam Rajimwale, Founder, Vishva Foundation
- Ashish Shelar, Minister of Culture
- Pankaj Bhoyar, Minister of State for Home Affairs
- Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Minister for Skill Development

Guest speaker Sri M, a noted spiritual teacher, spoke on the importance of humility, the role of the guru, and the relevance of ancient Indian wisdom in contemporary society. He emphasised that the real purpose of such gatherings is not only ritual observance but internalising the teachings of saints for personal and collective growth.
